Beat Surgery at South Oxhey Leisure Centre

Officers from the South Oxhey Neighbourhood Policing Team will be holding a Knife Angel engagement event as detailed below. We are keen to hear about any concerns you have regarding crime, anti-social behaviour or any other issues affecting you or our local community.

The Knife Angel is a towering, 27-foot-tall, winged figure, crafted from over 100,000 confiscated knives and blades, is not just a striking piece of art – it’s a poignant reminder of the devastating impact of violent crime.

Welwyn Garden City will be hosting the Knife Angel, using the opportunity to engage with community groups and schools on knife crime prevention. This highlights the ongoing role the sculpture plays in supporting local efforts to tackle knife crime.

If you're unable to attend this event, that's okay! We'll be hosting another beat surgery on Tuesday 28th October 2025. Between 17:00-19:00 at the South Oxhey Leisure Centre.
